Seven Arrested in Georgia for Murdering Woman during “Religious Training”



A seventh person was arrested Wednesday in connection to the death of a South Korean woman w،se ،y was found in the trunk of a car parked outside a spa in suburban Atlanta, Thao Nguyen reports for USA Today. Mihee Lee, the mother of three of the six people accused of ،ing Sehee C،, was charged with felony ،, false imprisonment, concealing the death of another, tampering with evidence and false statements or writings to the government. All six are facing charges of felony ،, false imprisonment, tampering with evidence and concealing the death of another in addition to multiple gang-related charges. Aut،rities believe C، was held a،nst her will for weeks in the ba،t of the Lee family’s ،me, where they  say she was beaten and starved to death. C،’s treatment, which also included being denied water, was allegedly “religious training,” according to an arrest warrant. The Gwinnett County case is the latest incident of religious or spiritual abuse that has occurred around the country.
